Welcome to a very unique UFC Fight Night breakdown. Cheap Jordans Free Shipping . This event is going down May 10th in Cincinnati. The main event is a welterweight fight that will give the winner a huge step on the path to a title shot. This weeks Takedown pits me, Jordan Cieciwa (@FitCityJordan) against 11 year-old Gabriella McAlpine (@WebSodaGirl) on the picks. Gabriella (Gabzilla) McAlpine is one of the biggest fans of MMA out there. Creating a name for herself online by interviewing some of the biggest stars in MMA, shes someone to watch as she hits the mats and learns the sport herself. We invite you to get on twitter and join the battle. #TeamGabZilla or #TeamJC. Wed love to hear your picks and argue our decisions. Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva JC: Well, Im a fan of experience. That means in this one Ive got to go with Matt Brown. Hes 18-11, and on a six-fight win streak. Silva is 3-3. I believe Silva has the advantage when it comes to the ground game, but not when you take into account the striking. I dont see this going all five rounds. Matt Brown will get his KO. Gabzilla: I think Erick Silva will take the win. He is evenly matched as a striker but on the ground be is more technical and has finished more fights using grappling. Lorenz Larkin vs. Constantinos Philippou JC: Costas Philippou is one of those "never out of the fight" fighters. He hits a ton, and has the ability to stay on his feet. Lorenz Larkin is an excellent all-round fighter, but with the striking edge and toughness going to Philippou I think this night will end mid-second round with Philippou getting a solid KO. Gabzilla: I believe that Lorenz Larkin will take the win. This is an evenly matched fight that is so close on paper, but I have to give a slight edge to Larkin. Daron Cruickshank vs. Erik Koch JC: Erik Koch and Daron Cruickshank should be a barn burner of a fight. Im actually a huge Koch fan and he gets the wins any way he can. Hes a great all-around athlete and if his striking isnt working he can take this to the ground. Cruickshank is an aggressive fighter. I think its going to be his downfall. Im expecting Koch to end this in the third round with a submission. Gabzilla: This is another very evenly matched fight. But my pick is Cruickshank, the Detroit Superstar, because of his striking, aggression and takedown defence. Neil Magny vs. Tim Means JC: Tim Means should end this night with a decision win over Neil Magny. I dont see this one ending before we reach the end of three rounds, but Means has the experience and striking skill to make sure he wins this one. Gabzilla: I will have to give it to Tim Means because of his record. He is so much more experienced in MMA with a 20-5-1 record as opposed to Magny with only a 9-4 record. Means has great hands and I think that will dictate the fight. Soa Palelei vs. Ruan Potts JC: If you have been watching heavyweight MMA then you know that the Australian heavyweight Soa Palelei is the real deal. I never count a fighter out, however, Ruan Potts just does not have what it takes to survive a Palelei striking onslaught. Expect an aggressive first round KO. Gabzilla: Hands down I think that Soa Palelei will win by KO. Based on experience, his striking capabilities and aggression. Cheap Jordan Free Shipping . "Weve given ourselves now a tougher task," said Carlyle after the Friday practice, the Toronto head coach notably chipper and upbeat throughout. "But the bottom line is we just have to win our share of games [and] not worry about what anybody else is doing.ALAMEDA, Calif. - Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew missed his second straight practice with a right hand injury, putting his status for Sundays home opener against Houston in doubt. With Jones-Drew sitting out once again on Thursday, Darren McFadden and Latavius Murray shared the running back duties in practice. Jones-Drew said he had a "minor procedure" done on his hand and does not consider the injury serious. Jones-Drew hurt a finger in a preseason game against Detroit last month and says the injury has lingered the past few weeks before getting worse in the season opener against the New York Jets. Jones-Drew had a bandage on his swollen hand. He said he could carry the ball in his left hand if necessary but that other aspects of playing would be more difficult. "Its more than that," he said. "It deals with blocking. You have to be able to use both hands and block, obviously catch the ball. You want to be able to protect your quarterback as well as yourself. Theres a lot of things that go into it." Coach Dennis Allen refused to answer any questions about the injury or Jones-Drews status for Sunday, saying only that he did not practice on Thursday. While no decision has been made about whether Jones-Drew will play against the Texans, offensive co-ordinator Greg Olson is already preparing for his absence. "Last week we wanted to see Maurice Jones-Drew in a full-time role," Olson said. "This week, I dont know if well see that. Well start with Darren and it probably will be more series wise with Latavius and Darren." Jones-Drew struggled in his Raiders debut, rushing for 11 yards on nine carries. Jones-Drew actually had negative yards for the game before a 12-yard run on his final carry in the closing minutes. In all, the Raiders were held to 25 yards on 15 carries in the 19-14 season-opening loss to the New York Jets after spending the off-season vowing a return to a power-running team. &"I wasnt happy with the end result," Allen said. Cheap Jordans From China. "But I thought overall if we had been able to continue to run the ball I think we would have had some success doing that. We got away from it a little bit. I still feel confident that well still be able to run the football and run the football effectively." McFadden is seeking a resurgence this season after averaging just 3.3 yards per carry the past two years — second lowest in the NFL to Rashard Mendenhall. McFadden had just four carries in the opener for 15 yards as he got limited playing time behind Jones-Drew. "You want to get a few carries to get yourself going pretty good," he said. "But we didnt have many offensive plays, we didnt get many carries, so it was one of those deals where we just have to come back next week and try to improve on it." The injury also could give Murray a shot at his first NFL carry. Murray, a sixth-round pick out of Central Florida in 2013, sat out his entire rookie season with an ankle injury. Murray showed signs in the preseason of being a capable power back, but only played on special teams in his first game as a pro last week against the Jets. "Im very eager," he said. "Its a big opportunity for me definitely to go out there and show these guys that Im capable of getting the job done, especially if a guy goes down they can know that Im ready to step up. Im excited, especially with being out last year and this being the first game, the first real game, regular-season game, that I can go out there and see some action at running back." NOTES: CB Chimdi Chekwa (knee) was a full participant in practice and could be ready to regain his job as third cornerback. ... LB Nick Roach remains limited nearly three weeks after sustaining a concussion in an exhibition game. Roach still has not been cleared to play in a game. ___ Online: AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL ' ' '
