After a week of interviews Denver Broncos Hats , John Elway and his committee of top Denver Broncos brass have come to the decision that Vic Fangio should be their next head coach. According to Adam Schefter, the Broncos and Fangio have agreed to a four-year deal plus a team option for a fifth.Fangio, 60, had an excellent interview and despite Mike Munchak being the early front-runner, made a good enough impression to win the job. Fangio is a hard-nosed coach who has earned the respect of his players as defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears. He is also the kind of coach that Scotty Payne of Mile High Report saw early on was going to be an Elway-favorite for the job. He has been a respected defensive coordinator for decades. He last two units, the Bears from 2015 to now, and the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014 produced some excellent defensive units. From a DVOA standpoint, Fangio builds programs well in the NFL. He took over a Bears unit in complete shambles and ranked 31st in defensive DVOA in 2015. Their rank rose each year under Fangio’s leadership culminating in the number one overall defensive unit in the NFL in 2018. In San Francisco, his defensive unit finished in the Top 5 in DVOA in all but one season under his leadership and it even spearheaded a Super Bowl run that ended in defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. At the end of the day Denver Broncos Hoodie , the Broncos identity is on defense and a Fangio hire will assure that identity is maintained. Good morning, Broncos Country. As I mentioned last week — it’s officially NFL Draft season! Yesterday marked the beginning of the Senior Bowl festivities and the Denver Broncos are on the prowl. John Elway, Matt Russell and members of their scouting staff in Mobile, Alabama. It’s going to be one heck of a week, but the Broncos are already busy meeting with some of the best talent available at the position. According to Walter Football, here are some of the prospects scouts were seen speaking to on Tuesday:Wide receiver: Jalyen Smith, Lousiville — Jakobi Meyers, NC StateTight end: Trevon Wesco, West VirginiaLinebacker: Gerri Green Customized Denver Broncos Jerseys , West Virginia — Drue Tranquill, Notre Dame — Sutton Smith, Northern IllinoisEdge: Jaylon Ferguson, Louisiana TechCornerback: Iman Marshall, USC, — Corey Ballentine, WashburnWide receiver and linebacker were a focal point with interviews at last week’s Shrine Bowl. It appears as if that trend has continued into the Senior Bowl. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire and I fully expect the Broncos to acquire at least one prospect from those positions with their nine selections in the 2019 NFL Draft. Moreover, I’m pleased to see that Marshall makes this list http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/bradley-chubb-jersey , who I discussed earlier this week our Senior Bowl prospect primer. The highlight player from the aforementioned is Ferguson who was one of the most dominant players in college football the past four seasons. He terrorized Conference USA opponents routinely and finished his career with 45 sacks and 67.5 tackles for loss. The Broncos have two stud edge defenders in Bradley Chubb and Von Miller but could you imagine if Ferguson was somehow available for the Broncos in the second round? Regardless of other needs it would be incredibly tough for them to pass him up, especially with Shaquil Barrett and Shane Ray being free agents. As the week continues you can expect a handful of updates at Mile High Report about any rumors surrounding the team at this year’s Senior Bowl. It’s one of the most exciting times of the year and always great to analyze.
