MEMPHIS, Tenn. Al Lopez White Sox Jersey . -- Faced with a challenge, the San Antonio Spurs kept their cool Friday night and in the end left another team in their dust. Tony Parker scored 20 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and San Antonios reserves poured in 45 points to help the brutally efficient Spurs pull away from the Memphis Grizzlies for a 102-86 win Friday night. The Spurs ninth straight victory added to the best start in franchise history (11-1). Memphis pulled within 79-78 with 6:37 left in the game on Tony Allens jumper, but the Spurs closed on a 23-8 run, making shot after shot in the final minutes. "We kept our composure and we didnt panic," Parker said. "We just run our stuff and make stops." The exasperated Grizzlies couldnt do much but watch. San Antonio beat Memphis for the sixth straight game, counting the post-season. The Spurs swept Memphis in the Western Conference finals last season and beat them again 101-94 on this seasons opening night in San Antonio. "Obviously, they have our number," Allen said. "Thats six straight games theyve beat us. We have to catch up to where theyre at." San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said Parker struggled some in the third quarter, but adjusted quickly. "He made great decisions, got the ball moving and involved everybody," Popovich said. "He spread the floor for himself and did a really fine job." Tiago Splitter scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and Manu Ginobili added 15 off the bench. The Spurs shot 42 of 79 from the field (53.2 per cent). It was a costly loss for the Grizzlies (7-6), who had starting centre Marc Gasol leave the game with a sprained left knee early in the second quarter. He didnt return and is expected to have an MRI on Saturday. Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 28 points. Zach Randolph added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Once Gasol left, the Grizzlies chances of winning were greatly diminished. The 7-foot-1 centre grabbed at his knee while sliding toward the basket on defence, but never went to the floor. He gingerly walked off the floor and into the locker room. Without him, the Grizzlies quickly lost ground. The Spurs pounded the ball inside and found plenty of room when driving to the basket, shooting 57.5 per cent from the field (23 of 40) on the way to a 51-37 halftime lead. The Grizzlies managed to fight back. Kosta Koufos, who started the second half in place of Gasol, made an easy layup after a nice pass from Allen to tie it at 59 and the game remained close until midway through the fourth quarter. Koufos played a season-high 28 minutes, finishing with six points and seven rebounds. The Spurs were able to outlast the Grizzlies with superior depth. Their bench was terrific in the middle of the game -- Ginobili and Marco Belinelli repeatedly hit big shots -- and then the Spurs starters did the rest to hold on for the win. "We played well in the first half and got a bit of a lead," San Antonios Tim Duncan said. "They made a run as we expect everybody to do. This is the NBA. Its how it works. We kept our composure, made some plays at the right time and just gave ourselves a cushion again." San Antonios Kawhi Leonard added 12 points and nine rebounds. The loss broke a four-game winning streak for the Grizzlies. Conley shot 12 of 19 from the floor, but it wasnt enough to keep pace with the Spurs. "They are incredibly smart," Memphis coach Dave Joerger said. "They have a lot of shooters, so they spread you out. You end up chasing your tail sometimes." NOTES: The Grizzlies recent four-game road sweep came at the expense of every NBA team in California, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. ... Allen returned after a one-game league suspension for kicking Clippers G Chris Paul in the face. ... The Spurs have a quick turnaround, facing Cleveland on Saturday night in San Antonio. ... San Antonios Duncan had another quiet night, scoring eight points and grabbing six rebounds. Hes averaged just 9.3 points over the past four games. Michael Kopech Jersey .Y. - Joe Johnson hit six 3-pointers in his 27 points, Mason Plumlee added 18 points, and the Brooklyn Nets won their 11th straight at home, beating the Boston Celtics 114-98 Friday night. The South Africa international, who rejoined the club last month on loan from Tottenham, opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a powerful shot into the roof of the net. https://www.cheapwhitesox.com/1904e-tim-anderson-jersey-white-sox.html . The 48th-ranked Williams made her first appearance in Dubai since she won her second straight title here in 2010. Shed missed the last three years either because of injury or Sjogrens Syndrome. The Arizona Coyotes found their scoring touch in their last game, and theyve had no problem finishing chances over a sustained stretch against the Edmonton Oilers. The Pacific Division stragglers meet Sunday night in Edmonton with the Oilers trying to put an end to their streaky ways. The Oilers (6-9-2) have been especially up-and-down this season with wins and losses coming in bunches. Their scoring has followed that streaky trend lately. Thursdays 4-3 overtime loss to Ottawa kicked off a five-game homestand with a second straight defeat, though escaping with a point was a bonus after falling behind by three in the first period for a second straight game. Its good that we didnt just throw in the towel and say they can just have this one, said Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who had a pair of assists. We battled back hard (in Tuesdays 3-2 loss at Nashville) and we did the same tonight. We got a point out of this tonight. We showed some good things there for sure, but those things cant happen, we cant go out there and get down three. The 20 first-period goals the Oilers have allowed are tied with Arizona for the most in the Western Conference. The Oilers will have star forward Taylor Hall in the lineup for tonights game. His first game action since injuring his MCL on Nov. 1. Coach Dallas Eakins said Hall would likely play on a number lines. Goalie Ben Scrivens has suffered from that with a 0-3-1 record and 3.76 GAA in his last four starts. He allowed six goals in the first meeting with Arizona and fell to 1-2-1 with a 3.16 GAA in the matchup. Viktor Fasth has been no better against the Coyotes with a 0-1-1 mark and 3.89 GAA. Arizona (7-9-1) ended a three-game losing streeak with Fridays 5-0 win at Vancouver. Herb Score Jersey. Martin Hanzal scored the first three goals before five minutes had passed in the second period, and Shane Done and Keith Yandle completed the dominant night. Hanzal had been held without a point during the losing streak with a minus-4 rating, and his importance hasnt been lost on the teams captain. Obviously, our most important player is Martin Hanzal, Doan said. When hes rolling, were a better team, and he got rolling tonight. Continued power-play production could help move things along. Yandles goal came with the advantage, and the Coyotes are 2 for 5 in their last two games after a 0-for-18 stretch. Theyre 2-6-0 when they go without a power-play goal and 5-3-1 with at least one. It was also their first shutout, providing a much-needed boost for their goaltending. Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves and improved to 3-0-1 with a 2.54 goals-against average in his first start since allowing five goals on Nov. 2 in Washington. While Dubnyk is yet to face his former team, starter Mike Smith certainly has and is 9-0-1 with a 2.46 GAA in his last 11 starts against the Oilers. This season has been considerably more trying as Smith has gone 4-9-0 with a 3.43 GAA, including three straight losses and nine goals allowed in his last two. Arizona hasnt suffered a regulation loss in Edmonton since Nov. 23, 2009, going 8-0-1 in that span. Overall, Arizona is 16-1-3 in the series since that loss with 3.7 goals per game. The Coyotes nearly doubled that in a 7-4 home win Oct. 15 to open the season series. Mikkel Boedker had three goals and an assist for the Coyotes and has 10 points on a five-game streak against Edmonton. ' ' '
