Raiders claim Brian Price off waivers from Cowboys Bo Jackson Jersey , waive Treyvon Hester And another Reggie McKenzie draft pick is ousted by Jon Gruden. Treyvon Hester, despite performing quite well this preseason was waived today in favor of former Cowboys defensive tackle Brian Price.Hester is the fourth players who was on the Raiders initial 53 to get his walking papers since Saturday’s initial cutdown. Tackles Ian Silberman and David Sharpe were ousted in favor of TJ Clemmings and Justin Murray and Johnny Holton was let go this morning in favor of free agent Brandon LaFell.Hester was one of ten defensive linemen retained, so it would have made sense to let him go if it was to bolster another position that had less depth. But they simply replaced him outright.Price originally made the Green Bay Packers in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of UT-San Antonio while Raiders defensive line coach Mike Trgovac was in Green Bay. He played with the Cowboys last season and was waived Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 303-pound defensive tackle has totaled nine NFL games played and recorded eight tackles (six solo) in his career.Hester also becomes the 17th former Reggie McKenzie draft pick no longer on the roster since Jon Gruden took over the team this offseason. He’s got a really good competitive spirit about him. I love the way he plays. I know he’ll be really excited for his first career start. Garcia would play 11 seasons in the NFL, making four Pro Bowls. His final Pro Bowl coming under Gruden at the age of 37.
